I read it, but only because my roommates had bought all of it. I wasn't that big a fan. I was more or less waiting for World War Hulk, which, to me, was weak only because it lasted too long (but that Hulk vs Sentry fight at the end was worth it).

Oh I'm talking. OMD was the first Spider-Man storyline I've picked up in years, just because of the hype. What a turd sandwich that was. I'm glad I haven't been reading Spider-Man comics at all, I would be so pissed that they just wiped out everything. I immediately tried to sell the run on eBay, but it was saturated, and no one was buying.

Civil War was really good. Thor showing up gave me actual chills, and I wasn't even mad when I found out it wasn't him. They seriously tried to clone a god? Awesome.

I'm glad it wasn't real Thor, he would've so broken the entire story. Just like the entire reason for Planet Hulk was to get Hulk out of the way because he'd be broken in a story telling sense, whatever side got him would've been unstoppable.Never go with a hippie to a second location.

To me it was a cop out having Hulk and Thor out of the picture. Cap and the rebel heroes were on the losing side from the get go and the Hulk could've helped level the playing field. You try the best you can. The best you can is good enough.

How they dealt with alot of their powerful characters was a cop out. Ben Grimm moves to France, what the hell is that!?Never go with a hippie to a second location.

While they were cop-outs, A) it's understandable why it happened ("HULK THINK BOTH METAL MAN AND MAN WITH SHIELD ARE RETARDS! HULK NOT SIGN ANY FUCKING PAPER!"), and B) they (at least with Hulk and the Thing; I didn't read anything pertaining to Ragnarok) were well done. Planet Hulk is one of the greatest Hulk stories not written by Peter David, let alone better than Civil War (in my opinion), and that issue of Fantastic Four where he meets the French team is one of my favourite FF issues within memory.MY NAME IS EDDIE AND THIS IS MY STUFF

I agree that Planet Hulk is a good story but I think it went on too long simply to keep Hulk away from Civil War. I would've rather they skipped World War Hulk all together and had him show up in Civil War. The Thing was actually in Civil War quite a bit but he wound up being on The Registration Side making it even more overpowered. You try the best you can. The best you can is good enough.
